The Indian Air Force (IAF) has announced the Agniveer Vayu Recruitment for Intake 01/2026 under the Agnipath Scheme. This is a remarkable opportunity for unmarried Indian male and female candidates to serve the nation in the Air Force for a tenure of four years.
Born between 01 January 2005 and 01 July 2008; not exceeding 21 years on the date of enrolment.
Educational Qualifications
Science Subjects: 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics, and English (50% overall, 50% in English) or equivalent Diploma.Non-Science Subjects: 10+2 in any stream with 50% overall and 50% in English, or equivalent vocational course.
Marital Conditions
Only unmarried candidates are eligible. Female candidates must undertake not to get pregnant during the engagement period.
The recruitment is for the temporary position of Agniveervayu, specifically excluding roles like commissioned officers, pilots, or navigators. The number of vacancies and the inclusion of female candidates will be finalized based on the operational needs of the IAF.

Salary Structure
The pay package for Agniveervayu is competitive and includes annual increments:

Additionally, upon successful completion of the four-year service, candidates will receive a Seva Nidhi package worth approximately ₹10.04 lakhs, ensuring financial stability after their tenure.
